Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my cruise ship skips Roatan or changes schedule?
If your ship does not call at Roatan, your deposit will be refunded. If your ship changes its arrival or departure time, we will do our best to adapt the excursion. If the new schedule makes the activity impossible, your deposit will also be refunded.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. Cancellations made at least 1 month in advance are refundable. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. If Scuba Nomad cancels because conditions are unsafe, your deposit will be refunded.
What should I bring?
For the Snorkel & West Bay Tour, bring swimwear, a towel and reef-friendly sun protection. For the East Side Coastal Walk & Mangrove Tour, comfortable walking shoes, hat, light clothing and sun protection are recommended.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain does not normally prevent water activities, although the day may be less pleasant. When weather affects the experience, we talk with you and try to adapt the excursion based on conditions and how you would prefer to spend your time on the island.
How far are you from the cruise ports?
Our base is normally around 20–30 minutes by road from both Port of Roatan and Isla Tropicale, depending on traffic.
