ABOUT SCUBA NOMAD
Luca and Natalia created Scuba Nomad, a dive operation just limited by the farthest reaches of the reef.
Together they are excited to offer a unique dive service to their customers and friends, and exhibit their true talents as seasoned dive professionals. Scuba Nomad is delighted to offer diving experiences on all sides of the island. Their operation bases its passion on positive collaboration with different local businesses and great community relationships built throughout their time on Roatan.
We are Luca and Natalia
We met in Roatan several years ago and since then we have been united by the passion for diving and the heartfelt desire to discover every corner of this island that we’ve made our own.
Luca
From Gemme (Italy)
English, Spanish, French and Italian
PADI and SSI Scuba Instructor
Luca's professional career has taken him to 7 countries on 3 different continents, where he has taught hundreds of people to dive through seascapes of very diverse conditions and topographies, such as the caves and caverns of the Mediterranean coasts, and the torrential reefs of Southeast Asia. In 2018 he arrived in Roatan with the idea of settling down after the long journey, which would allow him to apply his experience of more than 10 years by creating his own innovative dive outfit. If there is one thing he loves about Roatan it is the diversity of underwater landscapes and marine life forms throughout the island. And that's the strength of experience he shares with his clients.
Natalia
From Gernika (Basque Country) and Berlin (Germany)
English, Spanish, German and Basque
PADI Staff Instructor and SSI Instructor
Natalia is also a nomad who was traveling and working as a dive instructor for many years. 8 years ago she fell in love with Roatan. Her relationship to the island began mainly through diving, but her love of Roatan’s marine world has expanded to include the entire island, its cultures, communities and people. Especially since the events of 2020, when Roatan lost all tourism for months due to global confinement, Natalia became involved in an effort to boost local economy and collaboration between small businesses for the benefit of all. She was one of the creators of the Roatan Local Market, a two year project that continues to bolster the local economy and showcase the crafts and culture of the Roatan community.
